Grammy Nominations 2011 for Kanye West - The nominees for the 2011 Grammy Awards had been announced live on CBS on Wednesday evening.Adele, the smash hit British retro soul singer, had a substantial evening, earning nods for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Very best Pop Vocal Album and Ideal Pop Solo Functionality.Kanye West scored nods for each his solo work and his collaboration with Jay-Z. The pair's song "Otis" was nominated for Greatest Rap Performance, where it will go up against tracks from Nicki Minaj & Drake Lupe Fiasco Chris Brown, Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes and Wiz Khalifa. West's song "All of the Lights" will compete against "Otis" for Best Rap Song. West, overall, had seven nominations, top the pack.Folk rockers Mumford & Sons have been nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Very best Rock Functionality, and Most effective Rock Song.Indie singer-songwriter Bon Iver received recognition in the categories for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Finest Different Album. Rockers the Foo Fighters also had a huge evening, with numerous nominations like Album of the Year they finished the evening with six nods.Bruno Mars also scored significant, with appears for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Finest Pop Solo Functionality and Ideal Pop Vocal Album.Pop mainstays Lady Gaga and Rihanna are the two up for Album of the Year, whilst Rihanna also has nods for Most effective Pop Vocal Album, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Very best Rap Song.Amy Winehouse, who passed away this summer, received a nomination for her collaboration with Tony Bennett.
